Rising Star Games’ arcade shoot ‘em up (shmup) classics, Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition and Akai Katana, will keep you button-mashing for days throughout the Holiday season.
Set to release on November 27 exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Network, Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition lets players take on the role of a helicopter pilot in a territory divided by struggle between the Empire and Union.
Developed by Japanese video game company G.rev, the game builds off of the classic arcade version with a new set of upgrades and modes. In addition, Under Defeat HD takes full advantage of HD TV screens with its 16:9 New Order Mode – showcasing crisp and colorful graphics through the PS3.
Released exclusively this year for the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Games on Demand, Akai Katana is set in a parallel world resembling Japan’s Taisho period; the game combines the spirit of adventure offered through a true side-scrolling experienced with the adrenaline-filled gameplay of today’s bullet hell genre.
Developed by CAVE Interactive, the game tasks players with restoring peace and order to the world they once knew, all while taking on a tyrannical empire of bloodshed.
In addition to the full game disc, Rising Star Games’ Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition includes:
- ● Digital art book
- ● All current DLC and patches
- ● Soundtrack CD featuring tracks from the New Order Mode
